Tab Favour Box

The printable PDF also includes a pretty “Thank you”-gift tag.

Materials

  • heavy cardstock or photo paper
  • printable tab favour box (download below)
  • printable decorative paper (download below)

Tools

  • craft scissors
  • blade knife
  • self-healing cutting mat
  • metal ruler (optional)
  • bone folder (optional)
  • scoring board (optional)
  • stylus (optional)

Instructions

1) Print the box
Print the tab favour box on DIN A4 or US letter size photo paper or card stock. Optionally, print the decorative pattern on the back of the box.

2) Cut out
Cut out the box following the grey lines. Using a blade knife cut out the small white strips in the larger flaps.

3) Score and fold
Score and fold the box using the bone folder and metal ruler. Alternatively, use a scoring board and stylus or do it freehand.

4) Assemble the favour box
To assemble the box, fold all four edges of the box. Put glue on the flap that says “Glue” and adhere the side part to the box. You can either use double-sided tape, a strong glue stick, or super glue. Gently bend the opposite flaps to give them a curved shape.

5) Package goodies

Fill the favour box with treats or small gifts. Close the box by sliding the two sides with slits over the ones with the tabs. When packaging edibles we recommend lining the favour box with grease-proof (wax) paper or prepackage the treats in small cellophane bags.
