Free Christmas truck printables and my car-loving husband

My Christmas truck designs are close to my heart, and I’m so happy to shares this free printable Christmas bundle with you! Now here is the backstory behind these holiday trucks and why the vintage Christmas truck design is so special to me.

My husband LOVES cars, especially American vintage trucks. Seriously, show him a photo of an old truck, and he can tell you the manufacturer, model and every detail short of the serial number. I, on the other hand, know absolutely nothing about cars and can’t even tell a Ford from a Chevy. Honestly, they look the same to me but don’t tell him that.

When I told my husband there is a trend of cute red trucks with trees, he encouraged me to come up with my own Christmas truck drawings. As a reader of this blog, you may already know that I draw all of the designs for our printables myself and don’t buy premade artwork. Not that there is anything wrong with purchasing artwork. After all, you’re supporting an artist.

Creating the drawings

But drawing vintage trucks? I wasn’t so sure about that. So he stepped in and helped me out with the sketches and drawings. And not only that. In addition to the classic red Christmas truck with tree, it was his idea to create vehicles in other colours, add gifts and a giant holiday ornament as well as snowy accents.

We are together for 13 years now and even went to art school together. But in all this time, we never collaborated on an art project. Until these holiday truck printables. I hope now you can see why I like this Christmas truck decor so much. He really is a sweetheart, and I love him truck loads.

Free printable Christmas truck wall art

Free printable holiday wall art is a budget-friendly way to decorate your home for Christmas. You can display the printables in a frame, or hang the large Christmas signs unframed. These printables add festive vibes to your kitchen, living room, bedroom and office. You can hang the larger prints on a wall or put a small frame on the mantle, sideboards, or a coffee table.

The free vintage truck printables come in three different sizes: 4×6 in / 10 x 15 cm, 5×7 in / 12.5 x 17.5 cm, and 8×10 in / 20 x 25.5 cm.

Send Merry Christmas and sweet holiday wishes to your family and friends with cute printable holiday greeting cards! The layout of the 5 x 7 and 4 x 6 wall decor printables doubles as greeting cards, too. When you look at the printable, you see a light-grey frame next to design, which is the back of the Christmas card.

To assemble the printable greeting cards, simply print the PDF and cut out. Then fold in the middle and the easy DIY greeting card is ready!

How to print the free holiday printables

How do I open PDF files?

Locate the PDF file(s) on your device. I recommend to open files in Abobe Reader (free) or Abobe Abrobat to print and make edits. If the file is editable, all fonts are included. You can find more tips for printing printables here.

Printer and paper

For the best printing results, use 22 lb printer paper for frames but 32 lb premium printer paper when you prefer the printable as unframed wall décor.

Printer settings

Also, make sure to set the printer’s settings to print at 100% and to choose the highest quality. You can read more printing recommendations here. We use this Canon printer to print our printables and like the quality of the prints.
