Caramel Cheesecake Dip
My caramel cheesecake apple dip is an absolute treat and so easy to whip up. It’s super thick and creamy, with a rich, sweet, slightly tangy taste, making it the absolute best dip for apples (and anything else you can dunk and dip).
And with only 2 simple ingredients and 5 minutes of prep, you will bring this dip to ALL the parties you’ll be invited to. It’s that good!
Enjoy it as a quick fall dessert, or serve it up as an easy crowd-pleaser any time of year. Topped with nuts or chocolate chips, it’ll be your (grand)kids’ new favorite snack and the star of your next get-together.

Ingredients
- 2 x 8 oz cream cheese – You can use full-fat cream cheese for a rich taste or a fat-reduced version to create a lighter dip. Either way, let your cream cheese soften to ensure the best creamy texture.
- 1 cup caramel sauce – You want a thick caramel ice cream topping (like Smucker’s or Hershey’s), not caramel coffee syrup. Coffee syrup is too thin and will alter the texture of the dip. Homemade caramel sauce would be even better!
- 1 tablespoon pecan nuts (optional)– I like to sprinkle some chopped nuts over my dip before serving, but that is totally optional. You can even toast the nuts for extra crunch and aroma.
Mix-ins
There are loads of fun ingredients you can add to this yummy caramel apple dip, so feel free to get creative and experiment. Here are a few ideas to inspire you:
- Candy: Up the decadence by adding chopped candy bars! Think Snickers, heath toffee bits, mars bars, or even mini-M&M’s as a topping. The possibilities are endless.
- Chocolate chips: If you’d rather have just chocolate, fold 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips into the dip. White, milk, semisweet, or any flavor will taste good with this one.
- Nuts: Nuts give the dip a lovely, crunchy texture. Add ½ cup chopped pecans, walnuts, or pecans.
- Dried fruit: Add 1/2 cup raisins, dried cranberries, chopped dried apples, or chopped Turkish apricots to the dip for extra sweetness and a fruity punch.
Instructions
1. Soften the cream cheese
Remove it from the refrigerator and let it sit on the counter for about 20 minutes.

2. Add ingredients
Place the softened cream cheese and caramel sauce into a medium mixing bowl.

3. Beat
Using an electric mixer, beat on medium speed. You can also do this step with a stand mixer or by hand.

4. Mix until smooth
Mix until everything is well combined and you can no longer see streaks of caramel sauce.

5. Garnish
Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl. If desired, drizzle extra caramel sauce on top and sprinkle on a few chopped pecan nuts.
6. Serve
Hand the dip with apple slices, grapes, strawberries, graham crackers, gingersnaps, or other cookies. Enjoy!
Serving ideas
- Apples: Honey Crisp apples are my apple of choice, but of course, you can choose your favorite apple. Granny Smith, McIntosh, and Fuji are great options!
- Other fruit: Apples aren’t the only fruit that will taste delicious with this caramel cheesecake dip. Strawberries, grapes, and bananas also make tasty dippers.
- Cookies: Graham crackers, vanilla wafers, Oreos, gingersnaps, and pretzels are some of our favorite dippers for this treat. You could even crumble up some cookies and sprinkle them on top before serving.
- Marshmallows: Fluffy marshmallows go perfectly with this sweet caramel dip.

Storage instructions
- Store: This dip is great for making ahead and stores easily. Tightly cover leftovers with plastic wrap and keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Freeze: I don’t recommend freezing this dip because the texture of the cream cheese will change after freezing and thawing.

Anything with cream cheese has my heart! We're getting a carpet cleaning tomorrow so I'm planning on spending the majority of the day in the kitchen to stay out of the way. Can't wait to make this as a treat, yum!
