Halloween Fudge Recipe
This four-ingredient Halloween fudge is quick and easy to make and so ghoulishly delicious you might feel tempted to eat the entire batch yourself. We microwave sweetened condensed milk, and purple candy melts to make the fudge and use crushed meringue kisses and Oreos for garnishing. I used pre-colored candy melts to achieve a deep purple hue. You can also use white candy melts or white chocolate and chocolate- or oil-based food colors. If you prefer, replace the candy melts white milk chocolate, dark chocolate or peanut butter chips.
Ingredients
- 1 can (400 g / 14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 500 g (18.6 oz / 3 cups) purple candy melts (We used Rainbow Dust Purple Color Melts. Wilton Candy Melts Lavender work fine as well.)
- 40 g (1/2 cup) crushed meringue kisses
- 4 – 5 (1/2 cup) Oreos, crushed without the white filling
- baking spray or butter to grease the tin (pan)
- aluminum foil
Instructions
- Prep the cake tin. Line a 20 centimeter or 8-inch square cake tin (pan) with foil and let the foil overhang on two sides. Spray with cooking spray and set aside. It’s important to set up the tin (pan) beforehand as the fudge needs to be poured immediately.
- Melt the candy melts. Pour the sweetened condensed milk into a microwave-safe bowl or jug, and add the candy melts. Give the ingredients a stir and heat in the microwave on high in 30-second intervals until the melts have completely melted. Carefully stir the mixture between each interval.
- Cool the fudge. Pour half of the fudge into the prepared tin and sprinkle with crushed meringues and Oreos. Top with the rest of the mixtures and more meringue bits and Oreos. Leave to cool in the fridge for several hours or overnight.
- Cut the fudge. Lift the fudge out of the baking tin (pan) and cut into small squares. Package the Halloween fudge in our printable treats boxes and let the trick-or-treaters come knocking.
